After configuring it rightly as shown in the steps above, exit the software and relaunch it again and leave it to connect . if connected successfully it will look like this

How to configure browser and other applications like Skype, Messengers and Games 

Using browsers like firefoxe is going to be configured like this
firefox==> Click on tools(f10) ==>  Option ==> Advance tab ==> network ==> settings
then tick on manual configuration and set it like this

http proxy:- 127.0.0.1      port:- 8080
stock host:- 127.0.0.1      port:-1080

set the reset of the proxy to 127.0.0.1 and port to 8080
